To start with, this Music project was a blast. Even the research, brainstorming and planning for this project was entertaining. I feel like the process of it was the hardest time and why is this? My teammates and I had to come up with a whole new brand to this corresponding genre of music. It was a challenge but an amazing challenge.
First of all we came up with the bands name and the company name it had to be engaging to the audience witch made us think to the next level. However, it was not hard at all because the genre of the song gave us a lot of ideas. We ended up naming our band the "Weston Cowboys". Then we full-fill two cases studies that gave us a better understand on the genre of this type of music which in this case was "country". The case study helped us navigate ourselves with this music marketing project in a more unique way. Now creating our own band and brand was hard. We had to come up with the perfect distribution and marketing plan. I think this was the easiest part because we knew exactly what people nowadays want of a band and what will help the band to sell the most products. Creating the merch was complicated as-well because we needed a product that the audience could like and also that it help our brand to get more recognition. We had to think what can attract audience and how it could help the brand. With Social media we knew exactly what we wanted to do because the targeted audience is around 30-60 years old and we knew where we could attract all these people. For example, Facebook, twitter, etc.

The most challenging part of this project was the music video storyboard and this is because we had to come up with a video that can connect withe the song, genre and for it to engage in a deeper connection with the audience, it indeed took us a long time but we did it step by step. We decided to go to a ranch with a variety of animals and this was perfect because it connected with song and with the country genre. While recording the video we used a variety of techniques, movements, editing to make the video more entertaining with a better purpose. This was used to engage the music video with the audience. It was a long process creating the band but it should be ready to become the best.
Overall, the project was a long process but step by step we were able to create the best brand with the best distribution plans, marketing plans. It was a good experience but not easy at all.
