WEEK 8 BLOG 1 (PORTFOLIO)

 WEEK 8 BLOG 1

Creation of CCR

Today's class was quite beneficial. We discussed how we could improve and make the best CCR ever. My teacher instructed us on what we should and should not do. We also watched some former students' examples, which were just insane. Each CCR's creativity was outstanding. But I have to get started on mine. I believe I will make it with MovieMaker because it is the most user-friendly editing software. I posted the answers to the question I need to include in the video in my previous blog. How am I going to make the CCR? I will use my film as an example throughout the CCR because I know how to approach the questions. My teacher provided us an excellent tip: for the first question, returning to the blog post about genre will answer the question. I'm considering including humorous graphics throughout the film to help create my personality. I want to be imaginative and have fun with the video. A video that will make people smile every second. That is not a concern of mine. I'm concerned about the video editing and voiceover. It's quite difficult for me, but I'll figure it out. The CCR must be between 6 and 8 minutes long, which makes me nervous because I am not good at talking for lengthy periods of time. In addition, I will use script when speaking in the CCR because it will make my life easier and will really assist me. I'll be adding some photographs from the internet to improve the CCR, but my film will take up the majority of the time.

I'm quite nervous. I know the answers to the questions, but I need to write a script and get started on the CCR. I'm just sure it'll take me a long time. I'll get started on it tomorrow.

WEEK 7 BLOG 3 (PORTFOLIO)

 WEEK 7 BLOG 3

I'm going to finish the last two questions for the Creative Critical Reaction that I mentioned earlier today. Now I'm figuring out the answers to the questions, which I'll use when I produce the video for the Creative Critical Reaction. This is just a little forethought to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

  • How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?

Our project defies conventions since it is one-of-a-kind, and there aren't many films that capture anything like this. It has an outstanding value. It defies norms because, first and foremost, it features character vs. character, which is something that audiences enjoy seeing, but the best part is that it is linked to the environment. The fact that the actors are all teens adds to the film's strength and uniqueness. Because of its originality, it defies convention. Because it demonstrates how to keep your circle limited, our film reflects social groups or challenges. That there are always bad individuals around you, and that if things doesn't feel right, you should leave. It's because of your group that you act the way you do. For example, in the film because Gio and Craig don't get along, you can bet something horrible will happen at some point. Always be conscious of the individuals you associate with.

  • How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?

We used softwares, technologies, hardware, and the internet in this project since they all played a vital part. To improve the film, we utilized "Movie Maker"an editing software to chop segments, mute some sound, and generate the finest movie possible. We used a camera (I'll show you a photo of it) that was the best camera ever; the quality was incredible, and it greatly aided us. We also used computers to access "Movie Maker," and they assisted and guided us in our search for information for the film. We were able to obtain music and sounds from the internet, which aided us in creating our video. Our film will receive a flawless score as a result of all of this.

This is the image of the camera we used. That's really amazing, right?

WEEK 7 BLOG 2 (PORTFOLIO)

 WEEK 7 BLOG 2

I'll begin planning my Creative Critical Reflection today. I understand that this is a crucial component of the project, therefore I will give it my all. I believe I will conduct my Creative Critical Reflection in the form of a film with slideshows and narration. This seems to me to be the safest option, and it will also be the most explanatory. When I'm through with it, I'll upload it to YouTube and then post it on my blog. I'm going to start coming up with two of the four questions for my Creative Critical Reflection today.  When I start recording, I'll explain the story first, and then I'll answer the questions I'm working on with you right now.

  • How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

Because of the tension, drama, and connection to the environment, our product engages audiences. It's also character vs. character, which many people enjoy because they never know what will happen next. By creating our product in this manner, the audience will be on their toes throughout the duration of the film, which will improve the film. We chose a special sort of music to lighten the film because the setting is stunning. It will engage the audience in a variety of ways. Every network, such as Tiktok, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, will distribute our video as a true media text. In addition, there will be a website that will provide all of the necessary information. Tiktok will be the primary promoter.

  • How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

Let me tell you something: near the conclusion of the shoot, my teammate and I believed we could make an entire film. We were so sure of ourselves. But, jokes aside, I began out as a producer. I couldn't figure out what to do or how to accomplish it. However, over time, I was able to build a storyboard and dialect, and at the end of the project, my talents were far superior to those I had when I began. My abilities improve as soon as I finish editing. I considered myself to be a master. This project demonstrated the amount of effort required to conceive and produce something.

I'll finish answering the other two questions tomorrow, after which I'll begin recording the Creative Critical Reaction to complete my project.

WEEK 7 BLOG 1 (PORTFOLIO)

 WEEK 7 BLOG 1

It's approaching the end of this fantastic project, and I'm getting a little sad. We've finally completed the editing process. Every clip was trimmed and outside noises were deleted. We spent so much time editing because, as I previously indicated, we are not competent enough at this stage. Our entire film has been edited, and we are very excited to watch the final product. While editing the video, we noticed that about 5 seconds were captured in a poor quality, so my partner and I got down and discussed whether we wanted to keep or delete that section. It has certain benefits and drawbacks. An advantage was that it would improve our film, but a disadvantage was that we would not have enough time if we deleted that video, and it would cut some backstory from the film, which could confuse viewers. After all, we chose to repair the clip. We did our best to reduce those seconds to three, and it looked much nicer and performed well. We're almost finished with our video. A few minor tweaks and we'll be good to go.

In the coming blogs, I'll begin to compile research data. Because it is a vital aspect of the process, I am referring to Creative Critical Reflection. I'll start working on it tomorrow and the next day. To be honest, I believe that writing the Critical Reflection will be the most difficult part of the blogs.

 WEEK 6 BLOG 3

PROCESS OF EDITING THE VIDEO

Today we finally started editing our video and honestly it is harder than expected. First of all we had to find all the clips and put them in order. Since we recorded our film by pieces corresponding to the location there are some shots that were filmed before and some later. It took us 20 minutes to put all the clips together. Once we had all the clips together we started editing. We needed some time to get acclimated to "DaVinci" because we don't edit videos very often. We started pushing buttons, watching videos, and following tutorials until we figured it out. We began editing, and I must say, the video is stunning. We're adding the music we eventually found for the video, cutting some bits that were too long, and muting some air and our voices. We had to stop editing because it was becoming late, but we are still working on it. By the following weekend, we will have completed the editing process. I guarantee it will be the best film ever!!

WEEK 6 BLOG 2 (PORTFOLIO)

 WEEK 6 BLOG 2

Here are some behind-the-scenes photographs from our filming session. I won't show you the videos right now since we're still working on them, but you'll be able to watch them next week. Fun fact: when filming our video, I accidentally biked into a muddy pond, which was a horrible experience. With my bike, I was covered in mud. I was having a terrible time, to be honest. Later on, we began recording, and I had a great time.  We used a range of camera techniques and movements while filming our video. The weather was likewise ideal, as were the views and the surrounding landscape. The following step will be to download all of the footage from the camera and begin editing. In addition, we have yet to locate any music. It's a pain, but it'll be worth it in the end. We'll also film tomorrow the parts that we didn't get to record the first time around. It's just some scenery that we didn't get to film the first time. After that, we're finished recording and ready to go.

WEEK 6 BLOG 1

Group Discussion

Today, we were divided into groups at random to discuss our film ideas with others. It was fantastic since I was able to listen to everyone's ideas and plans for their production. In my group, one of the guys is making his video on a plane!!! It's insane. The fact that I was able to describe the film's concept and what we're doing to make it a reality was the highlight of my day. They all liked it and offered suggestions on how to improve it.As I previously indicated in a blog, I asked them which font they prefer, and due to them, I was able to choose the font for the tittle. They also sent me a link to a website where I could listen to a large number of copyright-free music. All of this assisted me and my partner in continuing to fix and filming the best video ever. It was a fantastic group exercise, and I'm hoping we'll be able to repeat it before we have to submit our video. Thanks to this, I was able to select a font and locate music, which I had anticipated taking a significant amount of time. It's such a relief.

WEEK 5 BLOG 3 (PORTFOLIO)

  WEEK 5 BLOG 3

I've got some fantastic news for you!!!! Today was the day that we finally went to record a scene for our film. We had a great time shooting because the entire team got along. We traveled to the location I mentioned earlier, and the sights were breathtaking. It was the ideal location for our film. We got some behind-the-scenes footage that I'll show you guys later, most likely in the next blog. We were there for four hours total, but it was a fantastic experience. We're simply lacking a few minor details that we'll have to re-record. Aside from that, all of the shots were accomplished flawlessly. I can't wait to go record the final touches with the rest of the crew. This film is going to be fantastic.

COLORING

We went to record today, as I already indicated. To further create our personas, we all used distinct clothing coloring. Craig, for example, was wearing black because he was the one who abandoned Gio and Felipe in the woods. Craig's "dark" "evil" personality is represented by black. Felipe was dressed in white, indicating that he is a kind person with no ill intents. Gio was dressed in a half-yellow, half-blue outfit to signify his position in the middle. This biking ride was an excellent idea to demonstrate his doubtfulness and the fact that he is not 100 percent sure. All of the coloring clothing depicts each character, which aids in the development of our characters and increases audience engagement.

 WEEK 5 BLOG 2

                                                       Editing Software

I haven't mentioned how we plan to edit our film. Diego and I were looking for good editing software that would give us what we needed. However, all of the editing software are extremely costly. We were brainstorming and remembered that our school computers provide free access to some editing tools. We were exploring when we came across "DaVinci." This is an excellent editing program that we will employ in the production of our film. Our presentation, however, will not require much editing because our film is realistic and does not require any extra effects. We'll obviously edit it, but it'll just be minimal.

                                                       MUSIC

I also forgot to mention the music that would be used in our film. We intend to use music throughout the movie. When the three main characters are biking, for example, we'd like to include a song like "The Spins" since it illustrates how they're all having fun before the nightmare begins. Also, using a song like this will draw in the audience because it adds humor to the film. It would help to brighten the mood of the movie. We want to include a song like "Always a Catch" near the end of the film because it adds suspense to the production. We will not be using those tunes due to copyright issues. However, just in case, we texted each song's record company to see whether we could use those songs in our film.

WEEK 5 BLOG 1 (PORTFOLIO)

 WEEK 5 BLOG 1

I haven't stated where we're going to put our production title in the movie. Here we go!! We have a fantastic concept. As I previously stated, the two characters go to sleep at the end of the film. We'll record them falling asleep and then use tilt to the sky to capture it. It will continue to darken until the screen is completely black. Our title "After Hours" will begin with this sound, which will make it more frightening and suspenseful.

Here are some fonts I really like that we are considering to use for our title. Here are the options.

             AFTER HOURS

AFTER HOURS

I really like these three fonts for our title. I will let you guys know what we end up choosing.

Target Audience

The target audience for our film is between the ages of 14 and 45  This is due to the fact that the film features some suspense, making it suitable for children to watch and comprehend the plot. It is up to 45 years old since that audience still appreciates a film with tension and character vs. character in a natural setting. The plot of the film will appeal to both children and adults aged 14 to 45. We are not targeting children under the age of 14 since they do not comprehend why those two characters became stranded in the forest at such a young age. Our video will appeal to a large number of individuals by targeting this group.  Because so many people between the ages of 14 and 45 utilize social media, it's ideal for our video to be advertised on Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. This will draw a large number of people. We sincerely hope people appreciate the film as much as we did.

WEEK 4 BLOG 3 (PORTFOLIO)

 WEEK 4 BLOG 3

Costume design

My partner and I wanted the best costume design ever for our film. This is because we wanted our film to truly engage the viewer, as if they were actually in it. We were discussing what the characters could wear for the film and after much consideration, we determined that they would wear the following.

Here is an example of what we want the characters to be wearing.

We want the characters to wear something like this since it demonstrates that they are prepared for their adventure. It shows their enjoyment until his friend leaves them alone. We were also considering adding dirt to the actors' clothes and bodies to make it more realistic, given that they are biking.

We were also planning on filming the first section of the video today. Unfortunately, the weather was awful, and we had to postpone our filming session because of that. After a discussion with the entire staff. We've chosen to shoot next week on Saturday and Sunday. Two continuous days so we can concentrate on making the best film ever. We want to make certain that everything is in order and that there are no errors. When we first start filming. I'll let you know as soon as I have further information. And I'll offer you a preview of how the film is progressing. Just a little bit longer. I assure you that it will be completed as quickly as possible.

WEEK 4 BLOG 2 (PORTFOLIO)

 WEEK 4 BLOG 2

SOUND

As I previously indicated, sound will play an important role in our film since, while it is character vs. character, it is also tied to the surroundings. Sound is important because it engages the audience in multiple ways and elicits emotional responses. We're considering using a variety of sounds. Diegetic sound, which can originate on-screen or off-screen but always occurs at the same time as the action, and Synchronous sound, which precisely corresponds to what is happening on screen. We will be able to engage a larger audience and make our film more relevant by using these two sorts of soundBecause the film is set in a forest, the audience will hear a range of sounds made by the creatures that live there. If there isn't any sound, we'll have to add some animal noise to make it look more realistic. Here's an example of a sound we might use if the original doesn't function. We are thinking on making a foley sound because it makes the scene more immersive. A lot of people will love our film just by the sound. Im telling you right now!!!!!

We'll begin recording our production on Sunday, and I'm really looking forward to it. The entire crew will gather at my place, and we will all proceed to the appropriate location together. I also forgot to explain who was going to record our film since Diego and I were both acting in the film. Vanessa, an incredible photographer friend of ours, will assist us in recording our presentation. She will play an important role in the production because she is in charge of making and recording the film to perfection.

WEEK 4 BLOG 1 (PORTFOLIO)

 WEEK 4 BLOG 1

    ACTORS

We were on the lookout for some actors. We considered who could play Craig. We discussed it and came up with Andres Montero, a friend of ours. He's the type of man who enjoys recording things and would be thrilled to appear in a film like this. We had to ask him whether he was interested in participating in our film. Diego and I sat down with him and told him about our plan, and he was excited. Diego and I have agreed to take on the roles of the other two characters. We decided that Diego would be Giovanni because he has a personality that is similar to his. I'm going to be Felipe because I'm quieter and have a personality similar to Felipe's. Diego and I agreed to be in the video because I believe we will do a better job acting now that we have developed the film and know exactly what to do to make it look the best.

Camera Equipment.

We've been looking for camera equipment that we'll use in our film. To avoid camera movement and offer stability, we'll use a tripod. I believe my iPhone 13 will be used to record the film. The iPhone 13 has outstanding photography quality. Once the film is released, you'll understand what I'm talking about. We hope the film will turn out fantastic because of the quality of my iPhone and the tripod. We intended to use an iPhone stabilizer but didn't have one and couldn't afford one. The price it's completely ridiculous!!!!

Camera equipment is, as you can see, quite costly. We will, however, purchase the "Aluminum Tripod" because it is less expensive than the other two Tripods. Since this is our first film, we'd like to start with the lowest option and work our way up. Imagine how much the iPhone stabilizer was if the tripod itself its so expensive.

Critical Reflection

CRITICAL REFLECTION The time has finally come. There were many hardships along the way, but there were also many happy moments. Due to sever...
