Postcard design

As we know the print part of this project really important too. I been working on some designs for my postcard. First of all I want to tell you guys that the name of my film is called Lost. It has a really important meaning because it literally represents my movie. At the end of the film the main actor is really lost. That is the point of the film. Something can be amazing and out of nowhere people forget about you and switch up. Im choosing this topic because I want to show my audience to never give up and even though life can get bad to never stop trying. The cover of the postcard will be a man walking to a shadow. It will be all grey. Grey represents loneliness and sadness. I know for sure the postcard will come out amazing. I will he finishing it this week. This is an example of what I want to do. This is not the actual design. Just an example. With black font letters. The font I talked about last blog.

 FONTS

I am finally going to talk about the fonts. Some people believe that they are not important but they truly are. This is because you need to use the same font throughout. For example, the title, subtitles, credits have to be the same font so it looks more organized. High films do this because font may influence atmosphere and mood. Fonts can provide visual cues regarding the order in which to read a document and which sections are more crucial than others. Here are some examples of fonts that I will be using for my film.

I honesty dont know which one of those three fonts I will be using. My favorite one is the last one because it definitely matched with the theme of my short film and I believe its not too common. I will ask my teacher which one she likes better ore my classmates. I cant believe this project almost done, and again I am sorry for last weekend I wasn't at my best.

week 6 blog 1

DIFFICULTIES

 Hey guys. I been really really sick so that is why i was unable to post a blog. I am truly sorry for that but this week is the most important week. I already recorded most of my film I am just missing the last part. I been really overwhelmed to be honest. College visits and getting prepared for college is a lot. It just hit me that I am leaving my house in 2 months so I been really distracted. I will show you guys a sneak pic. This is when I went to my girlfriend to see if she remembered. As the way she was looking at me she clearly doesn’t remember me. This video is taking a lot of time because it will end up amazing. I am also starting to post more in my social media which you guys should follow. I am almost done with my postcard I just have to edit the design and I will be done by it. I did my postcard throughout canva. Canva is an amazing application where you can design anything you want. I just wanted to update you guys with what is happening because I havent mad a blog. Cant wait to show you guys it.

WEEK 4 BLOG 4

EDITING SOFTWARES

I will finally talk about editing. If you guys realized I haven’t talked about editing because I am honestly not good at it. It is my weakness. Luckily for me 2 years ago I took a class named AICE info tech for some reason. After that class I became a pro at editing. Im obviously being sarcastic but I did actually learn on how to do it. It just takes so long and you have to be seating down for a long time which I al not good at. I consider myself as someone that cant stay in the same place for a long time. I will be telling you guys which editing software I will be using for my short film.

I am honestly going towards ADOBE PREMIERE. In the class I just mentioned we learned through Adobe Premiere. My cousins make movies and commercials im Mexico and when they go to edit they use that application. They are my inspiration so they gave me a lot of tips on how to be better at editing. I will probably ask one of them to help me to edit. I want to make the film amazing so I will try to edit the film as best as I can. I been also watching Youtube videos on how to edit because there is honestly so many tricks.

People were telling me to edit in Imovie and I honestly believe thats not professional. This is a really big project and Imovie doesn’t have the tools I need for this project. However, It is my second option because I dont know how to use other editing software. If anything happens to adobe Premiere I will be using Imovie. The thing about Adobe Premiere is that you have to pay for it so I obviously have to pay it. Im not sure how much is going to cost but I will find a way or Ill ask one of my friends that has it. I am pretty sure I had that software because every school computer had it. Changing subjects I will have the dialogue done by this week.  We are starting so soon I am so excited. I cant wait

WEEK 4 BLOG 3

 CHARCTERS

I will be presenting you guys the characters for this film. I will tell you guys info about each character.

1. Kenneth will be played by Claudio Jimenez.  Kenneth in the film is the main character. He is the one that when he comes back to town everyone forget about him. He will be in most of the play. It will be  a hard role to play because as we know he goes insane at the end.

2. Madison will be played by Vanesa Marcano. Madison is the girlfriend of Kenneth. She will have a really important role in the film because she is the one that will ignore and pretend that she has no clue who is Kenneth, which in reality is the girlfriend. She will be confused and scared on why this guy is so into her.

3. Mario will be played by Felipe Echeverria. Mario is Kenneth best-friend.  They both hangout everyday and they are basically brother. Kenneth will go to his house just for Mario to kick him out since Kenneth is a complete random.

4. There will be extras in each scene to make the film more realistic. There will be people around looking at Kenneth when he becomes insane. There will be kids from his school that will also have no clue who he is. 

This will be the cast of this short film. It is important to know that each character has a really important role and that without one the film would not be possible. When Im acting I will have Vanessa Marcano record me since she is really good with the subject. She is the one in charge of all the photos for one of the biggest clubs at school.

WEEK 4 BLOG 2

 Places/Setting

This short film will take place in 3-4 different places. This will make the film more realistic and each spot has a really important place in the firm.

Spot 1- Denver Colorado/Airport.

The first few minions of the film will be in Denver and the Airport because thats when Kenneth the main character goes out in vacation. Thats when He is at its happiest with no worries. Keep in mind he is alone. I will be showing clips of him having the best time of his life.

Spot 2- Different houses in Weston.

This part will be around the middle of the film. This is when Kenneth comes back and goes visits his girlfriend when she has no clue who he is. Then he proceeds to go to his best friends house to tell him what is happening when the same thing happens. This will be around the same neighborhood since all the house are the same. It will be shot outside of the house and some parts inside.

Spot 3- Town Center.

This is the most crucial spot for the film. The grand finale will be in this spot. The last 2 minutes of the film will be filmed in this spot but at NIGHT. This is when Kenneth Gives up and walks alone in the streets overthinking life and thinking what went wrong when he left for vacation. He will go crazy and the short film will end like this. Unsolved. For audience to wait for part 2

WEEK 4 BLOG 1

 SCHEDULE 

MARCH 12- I will be gathering my whole crew. I will print the roles of each one and all the dates and times where we are going to meet and work. Times are undecided. March 12th we all going to sit down and i will be explaining them the project and how its going to work. I will have my two actors and videographer. 

MARCH 17- We will start recording the first minute of my video.We will go to the setting and scout for perfect views. All the angle shots will be ready once we are there. I will also find the audio for my film.

MARCH 18- We will be finishing recording in the first location. It will pretty much take up 1 minute and a half of the film. We will sit down review the raw footage and give opinions on what we have to fix.

MARCH 24- We will be recording the last 3 minutes of my film. It will be in a different location and it has to be at night with no doubt. This will be the mist important date because it is when the suspense comes in part.

MARCH 25- We will be finishing the film. We will review all the footage and put the video clips in order. This day and the 24th are super important so the whole crew has to be there. Long hours too. 

MARCH 30- Will be finishing the website and postcard advertisement. I will make sure the print component is ready. Will update my Instagram account and print a lot of postcards.  

MARCH 31- I will be editing my short film. This day will be honestly the hardest day since I struggle a lot with editing, I am giving myself 3-4 days to edit and for me to take my time.

 SOCIAL MEDIA

I finally did my instagram account. It is called "lost_officialmovie". I would really love it if you guys would follow me. I will be posting teasers, behind the scenes, and polls to entertain my followers. This will help to create a deeper bond with my film and audience.

 Target Audience

Teenagers and young adults will mostly make up the target demographic for my movie. Since understanding requires knowledge, it is really more appropriate for young adults. b Themes like violence and psychological problems are prevalent in most thriller movies. Both of these might be problematic for younger audiences, but they might also be too intellectually hard. Because of this, thrillers as a whole frequently target older audiences. The thriller genre does, however, have a number of subgenres, each of which frequently has a distinct audience in mind.

My movie clearly focuses on suspense, and the main character eventually goes nuts, thus it might offend younger viewers. I suggest my movie be seen by people between the ages of 15 and 40. Elderly individuals would get bored by it because they have seen everything, and children under the age of 15 would be terrified. You can establish connections with customers and improve communications by having a clear understanding of your target market.

The plan is working out perfectly. Before anything else, I wanted to let you know that at the time of my next blog, I will have posts on Instagram. I'm now going to inform you guys about my movie. Fortunately, I am in Denver, Colorado, where I have been filming the opening sequence of my movie. As I previously mentioned to you guys, I wanted to demonstrate how the main character is on vacation and enjoying the time of his life, but he is unaware that once he returns to his hometown, no one will remember him.
